so we did photo shoot #2 today for the 2011 calendar. this time we decided to awesome it up by doing the amazing Life Aquatic by mister Wes Anderson. it's one of kate funk's favorite movies ever - mainly due to her obsession with Bill Murray, who i got to portray. (and a special thanks to mister Eric Wilcox for giving us the idea for this one).
There aren't many photos to show from this shoot since i did an awesome job and got the photo almost on the first shot. but here's a close-up photo of me on the set with my sweet Life Aquatic costume that miss kate funk made for me. her sewing skills have improved slightly since her Willy Wonka coat disaster.
Attention all Milwaukeeans! (and everyone in driving distance of Milwaukee)
Miss kate funk as been asked to participate in the East Town Market at Discovery World! There are two shows coming up: Saturday March 27th and April 24th from 10am to 2pm. She's so excited because she's never participated in an East Town Association event before, but has attended many of their awesome events such as Bastille Days and Jazz in the Park. And Discovery World seems like it'll be an amazing place to hold a show. Kate visited it recently for a wedding and was blown away by all the amazing exhibits inside. This was her favorite part:
So come and check out kate funk's booth and support Milwaukee by buying local.
So I woke up this morning to miss kate funk trying to show me an article on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal Online. They did an article on Handmade Valentine's Day cards and talked about me and my awesome modeling skills! (Actually it was more about kate, but whatever). Check it out here.
They also talk about our friends over at Cracked Designs, who rule. Interesting, little tidbit of information: Kate Funk and Tara Scheuerman (of Cracked Designs) were classmates at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and both graduated in 2005 with a BFA in Photography. Crazy coincidence, right?
Anyways - check it out online, or if you live in the Milwaukee area go out and get a real copy. I'm sending kate out soon to pick up one for me.
guess what everybody!? (but mostly people who live in or near Columbus, Ohio) miss kate funk is now going to have her products available at Wholly Craft! They're a small, but awesome, shop in Columbus, Ohio that carries handmade good from over 150 crafters and she's super pumped to be added to that list. so if you're in the area make sure to stop and check it out.
